Things I Don't Love Thursday 8/01

1. I can't remember if I have complained about this before or not, but it is really bugging me so it is #1 this week. I can't stand toothpaste all over the toothpaste container.  Growing up my brother and I shared a toothpaste container, because we shared a bathroom. He ingrained in me the importance of keeping a clean toothpaste container. Somewhere though the years I must have said, "My kids will never..." because, their toothpaste is disgusting. Even with me cleaning it up and nagging them often.

2. Every time we go to do a minor fix on the car it turns into a much more thorough project. What started as replacing 1 spark plug turned into a week long nightmare. Lesson learned? Sometimes even brand new parts like, oh I don't know spark plug wires, can be bad!

3. I hate that July is over. I love so much, I am not ready for it to end! I can't believe school starts in a few weeks!

Things I {Don't} Love Thursday 6/27

One of my favorite blogs is Lulu & Sweet Pea. One of my favorite things is her link up on Things I {Don't} Love Thursday. I try to stay optimistic and positive through most situations, but to vent a bit every now and then is ok. It can even be helpful and therapeutic. Here is my list of things I am currently not loving.

1. Lately I have been hating my son's allergies. His eyes get all puffy and red, poor baby. It is very windy in Eagle Mountain, and the pollen count has been very high. I use an allergy medicine and lavender around his eyes. I would love any and all suggestions to help him with this.

2. I hate that the 1st month of summer has almost come and gone! I love summer so much, I hate to see it pass. We crammed our summer full of adventures and it is making it fly by too fast.

3. I am not loving this weird back flow water pressure blah blah blah. I have never in my life even seen them until we moved to Eagle Mountain. They aren't meant to go below 20 degrees. Hello, I live in Utah it gets below zero every winter. Apparently if you don't take major precautions they break yearly. Since we didn't know this, or anything about it, when we moved in last fall ours is broken. We have been too busy to fix it. I keep ignoring it, hoping it will just go away.

Things I {Don't} Love Thursday 6/20

It's been almost a month since I have posted things that are driving me bonkers. I'll try to keep it to my top 3.

1- Sorry for any men reading who get grossed out by too much sense of reality of what women do. I don't love growing my leg hair out to get waxed. It is so worth it after the fact, but the 2-3 weeks prior sucks! I had my first waxing back in high school. For years I would only have to not shave for 1 1/2 weeks for it to be the perfect length. This last week I went in after 2 weeks and 2 days of growth, and it still wasn't long enough. It's nice knowing I have gone in so much that my hair doesn't grow as much or as fast, but the thought of hairy legs in the middle of June SUCKS!

2- I hate when things are sticky. I REALLY hate being sticky, I seriously have a panic attack. With summer time we have lots of popsicles, ice cream cones, smoothies, otter pops, snow-cones, etc. With that comes sticky hands, floors, counters and more. I have to keep a wet rag close by me in case a kids wants a random hug or drips some where random.

3- I have the hardest time finding a cute basic shirt. I need shirts that don't have logo's, don't need something under it, or over it, but is a little more than a plain t-shirt. I feel like I can buy a nice dressed up top or basic tee. The few shirts I have seen around need another layer because they are too low cut, or so flimsy and see through. When I do find one they are way out of my price range, or not in my size.

Things I {don't} Love Thursday

Here are some things I am not loving right now.
1- I hate my tile floor. I know most people consider it an upgrade, but I hate it. Everything that hits my floor shatters, even plastic. I didn't want any of my new dishes breaking so I bought plastic dishes. I even keep a tally on my fridge when something breaks. In 7 months I have already broken 18 things. Lids to the apple juice, plastic bowls, cups, salsa containers, jars, you name it. This weekend my first piece of my new fiesta dinnerware broke. I was so bummed. I left my plate and bowl on the table and my 2 year old went to push it out of the way, right onto my tile floor.

2- I hate when my husband goes out of town. Boo (You have to do thumbs down when you say this.) Yes he left me alone with the kids over Mother's Day weekend. I tried not to give him too hard a time, I knew how guilty he already felt. When he leaves my kids feel his presence gone and just act crazy. The hardest this time was errands like soccer games by myself. Carrying the diaper bag, camping chairs, the baby, and who knows what else, all while herding kids to and from the car. No Bueno.

Things I {don't} Love Thursday 5/2

I am joining up with Melissa again to bring you more things I {don't} love right now.

1- I don't love when someone picks up the baby from her swing/bouncer and forgets to turn it off. I'll walk by to see it still running or vibrating with no one in it. Sometimes my 2 year puts her baby in it and turns it on as well, what a waste of batteries.

2- I am not loving what I am assuming are hard water stains. Since we moved into our house about 6 months ago I have been trying to clean out this mess. I have tried, bleach, white vinegar, vinegar and baking soda, 2 different toilet bowl cleaners and Lime Away. As embarrassed as I am to show my toilet on here, how do I get rid of these stains? We have a water softener and use it now, plus the stains are slowing disappearing after each cleaning, but it still drives me crazy! I would love thoughts and will try almost anything!

3- I am not loving my current vacuum. It is 9 years old and does an ok job. I vacuum twice a day at least and it still doesn't do the best job. I need a new vacuum and I want a carpet cleaner. With 4 kids to clean up after, that can't big to bad to wish for, right?

Things I {don't} Love Thursday 4/18/13

I am linking up with Sweet Pea & Lulu again for more things I {don't} love.

1. I get so frustrated with bad links. Sometimes certain blogs will link to other blogs. For instance they may provide a list of Utah bloggers, yummy recipes, or DIY posts. I'll click the link and its a blog that hasn't posted in 2 years, doesn't exist any more or even weirder is private. Why link to your website if only invited people can view it? That's pointless and a waste of time if you ask me.

2. I don't love syrup on it's bottle. Does the oil bottle have oil on the outside of it, or the peanut butter have peanut butter around it's container or does the milk jug have milk dripping on it? Then why does my syrup ALWAYS have syrup on it? I have an OCD thing about being sticky. Meals that I eat with syrup I also eat with a wet rag; I can't stand being sticky! I clean the container constantly, and yet it is still sticky every time I reach for it.

3. I don't love when the micorwave doesn't get cleared. I go to see what time it is and sure enough it's blinking, PRESS START. Sometimes I go to use it and it won't let me type in my time because the person before me hasn't cleared their leftover time. Does anyone else not love this? Or just me?

Those are some of the things I am not loving this week. Have something you are not loving? Let me know, or write about it and link up with Sweet Pea & Lulu.

Things I {don't} love Thursday 4/11

Here are a few things I am not loving this week.

I am not loving being so tired all the time. With a 5 month old I don't get a full night's sleep, ever. As much as I try to enjoy my time with my infant and those special moments, I miss a full nights rest.

I am not loving left over Easter candy. I get tired of it being around. I usually am all in support of get in their system and back out all in one day. It's healthier for their teeth and less tempting too. I hate those leftover that seem to linger. No one really wants them but I hate throwing them away, even though that's probably what I will do anyways.
Thanks to Lulu & Sweet Pea for hosting this.

Things I {don't} Love Thursday 4/4

Here are a few things I'm not loving this week.
1. Tax season. My husband is always so busy and works so late, especially the closer it gets to April 15th.
2. Towels not being hung back up. My husband bathed the kids yesterday while I went running. How is it that the next morning the bathroom floor is covered in towels? This is where the saying, "The lazy mom does all the work," applies. Either I just pick them up, or I gather my children to show them how to do it, again! Good thing we live in a dry state, we never got away with this when we lived in humid places!

3. Taking kids to the store. Four kids to the store isn't always my favorite thing to do. Sometimes I get thru with no incidents others I leave wanting to bang my head on the steering wheel.

Things I {Don't} Love Thursday 3/28

Lulu & Sweet Pea

It's Thursday again and I wonder, "Can I even think of something I don't love enough to write about?"  As I walk to my laptop I step into a puddle of spilled water, and  realize I now have to deal with my biggest pet peeve of all. It's not spills that don't get cleaned up, it's wet socks. I HATE WET SOCKS! It weirds me out. I am not a fan of shoes but my feet get cold so I like to run around in socks. Especially fun socks, like purple fuzzy ones. I know to be careful in the bathroom and around the front door when it's wet outside, but still with 4 kids my poor innocent socks still find some way to make me scream and want to cry.

Yuck, this picture alone makes me shudder.

Next I hate that my baby is growing! She has already out grown some of my favorite outfits. What do I do? She is 4 months old and is growing faster and bigger than any of my other babies. She is already more than half my 2 year old's weight! Normally I encourage growing in my kids, by fattening them up if possible. My 7 year wears 4-5 Toddler clothes he is so small, so the idea of my youngest growing faster than the rest freaks me out. So today I hate my baby growing up to fast!

Things I {Don't} Love Thursday

I teamed up with Lulu & Sweet Pea to bring to you things I don't love Thursday. I'm tempted to  add this week into the things I don't love. It has been so slow and I have felt so drained. It's almost over though so I am excited for that.

1- I don't love dried out toothpaste. Growing up my big brother would get so mad at me if toothpaste got anywhere besides inside the toothpaste container. I have been trying to get my kids to brush by themselves more often and their toothpaste grosses me out!

2- Right now I don't love my son's bathroom. Not only is he the only one to use it (cause it's downstairs) but I hate the prior owners paint job. It was painted poorly with this ugly pink and brown color. Hopefully by next week I have the paint job fixed. Although both my husband and I have spoke to my son about flushing and aiming, and we make him clean it himself, I still think I won't love this for a long time!

3- Today (and most days for that matter) I hate folding laundry. I try playing games like fold it while it's still warm, and timing myself, but lets face it folding laundry is my least favorite chore! It usually sits there till someone is coming over or I need the baskets. I have thought of buying more laundry baskets but then I would have no motivation to ever fold it. Plus I usually have to wait till kids go to bed to fold it, and usually by then all my good intentions crash with me!
What things do you not love this week? I would love to know!
