Cleo Madison Review

I love when I come across boutiques that sell cute and conservative clothes. I am not one to personally dress flashy, or sexy, but I do want to look good. I sometimes struggle finding the right dress or outfit that I feel both comfortable and confident in. Cleo Madison/ asked me to review their clothes and I was more than happy to. Browsing thought their website made me both excited for fall and excited to have a new clothing company I could stand behind.
I like to wear a lot of tops with skirts. Both cause I like them, and cause I am currently a nursing mama. Which I do wish there was more nursing dresses and tops out there, but that's another tangent for another day.
They had some really cute skirts to choose from but I went with the Annie floral skirt. I was surprised at how soft it was first off, and second how comfy it was. I often dress up for work or church. Which tend to be my craziest days. Both Sundays and work days are insane for me. I like to look nice but feel comfy too. I matched the skirt with my jean blouse that goes with everything, and makes nursing easy. I got 3 compliments on my skirt within an hour of wearing it #winner

2 things are also apparent, 1 I am not a model. 2 My husband is not a photographer. Truth is every time I wore it I may have forgotten to have someone take my picture. Yes I said every time I wore it. I liked it that much.

Cleo Madison is having a sale right now for 25% off all sale items. Their sale items not only have swimsuits, some stripped dresses but 3 shirts I want. A cute Mama Bear Shirt, Happy Camper shirt and a Happy Glamper Shirt (see below). So go check them out and use the code 25offsale.
Don't forget to follow their facebook and instagram pages for more info, arrivals, discounts and giveaways.

Sweet Salt Clothing

I love to support local companies. Especially when they sell clothes. Since I have gone back to work part time and I feel like I need new clothes for work I was thrilled to have another online clothing company brought to my attention. Sweet Salt Clothing sells modest and fashionable clothing.

I loved scrolling through their many pages of options. hey have tops, sweaters, skirts, scarves, and more. They had a lot to choose from, however, don't make the same mistake I did when you first take a look. The first time I looked through the first page of options this is what I saw:

When I saw that the last row didn't have the same amount of options as the first few rows I assumed that, that was all there was to choose from. When I took a second look I noticed the bar at the bottom where the arrow is pointing. It is really light and I obviously didn't notice it at first. Once I did I was surprised with plenty of pages to view and decide.  So don't think you have hit the last page of clothes, there should more pages to view.

It took me a few days to decide on the perfect outfit. Not only did I want just the right thing, but I knew I would be showing it off to all of you. One issue I often have with my height is length when it comes to skirts. I can wear some maxi skirts as dresses, and some knee length skirts to my calves. I loved that this website had length in inches on them. Which ultimately helped me when I couldn't make up my mind between 2 skirts. I asked if the lengths were accurate regardless of size, and they said yes. Maybe a few skirts on the largest sizes would be slightly off, but otherwise they should be accurate (mine was, and yes I measured it.)

Another thing I loved was their return/exchange policy. Also because of my size I feel like I am between 2 sizes and I ordered the wrong size on this cute peter pan top. When I got my shipment in the mail it came with a return slip so I did't have to pay to exchange it. I just wrote down on the slip I wanted a different size and quickly got the correct one mailed back to me. It did come back with another slip to mail it back if needed, fortunately I didn't need it. You can check out their fabulous Quality Guarantee

In the end this is what I got. I love this peter pan top, because the sleeves are a little longer and not the girly cap sleeves. My hair covered up some of the detailing on the top, but you can see it better in the above picture.  I almost chose a cute polka dot skirt till I saw this one last minute. I saw this skirt on someone else recently and fell madly in love with it. Only I knew if I came across it, it would be way too long for me and I would have no hope in hemming it. So when I saw it would be the perfect length I couldn't resist. I added a chunky black belt and some black ballet slippers. Perfect for a day at the office, church or a date with my husband.

Another thing they have that I couldn't resist are cute little girl shrugs. I don't have a picture yet cause I am saving them as gifts for my girls, but they have some as low as $2.99! I just noticed today they had some cute plain raspberry or black cardigans for  $3.99 as well, so go check out their cardigans for your daughters. A black sweater is a must in any girls closet if you ask me.

Go to sweetsaltclothing.com and sign up for their newsletter. Like their facebook page for deals and promotions, I promise you won't regret it. They have their spring cleaning sale going on right now too! Plus till the end of March you can use the code queenofchaos15  to save an extra 15% off any regular priced items!

New Boots

I was playing that game where you have to come up with things you have never done and then those that have done it switch places. I wrote in more details how to play here. When it was my turn to come up with something I had never done it hit me- I have never worn boots over leggings or skinny jeans. Not that I was against it, it was that all the boots I had weren't meant for that look. After much flack from many neighborhood women I decided to call my friend to fix the problem ASAP.

Sure enough I went to my friend the owner of Silver Apple Boutique and she helped me solve the problem. These were the ones I picked, the outlaw boots in brown. I love them! Now I have been shopping for more things to go with my brown boots, just so I can wear them. I even wear them with the teal high low skirt I got from there.

I am thinking about getting these cute gray ones as well? What do you think? I like the buckle, but she has other cropped gray boots too. I can't decide, I just want them all.

She always has cute maxi skirts and sweaters. She has tons of leggings and necklaces too.

Leggings are the big trend right now. Silver Apple Boutique has a sale on some of their winter leggings. They also have girls leggings right now too. I need to het some for my girls. They love dresses, but it's too cold to wear just that. maybe we can compromise if they wear leggings with them.

The best part is that you can save 10% on your whole order. Plus they have free shipping right now too. Go browse through some of their fabulous stuff. Just use the code Queen10

Happy shopping.

Instagram Recap

I have been on Instagram a lot more this last week than usual so I thought I'd do an Instagram Recap.

Last weekend My husband work took everyone out to eat to Chef's Table in Orem. One of my favorite places to eat. One thing I didn't remember was their toilet paper rolls. How funny are those? Maybe we all need some divine intervention in the bathroom. I had there Alaskan halibut with lemon rock shrimp risotto, it was so rich and delicious. They have yummy desserts too. I had a chocolate pot a crème and took my husbands cheesecake home for later. So good!

Then I hosted a Norwex show at my house and did a hot chocolate bar. I made these cute labels for the mason jars. With some red ribbon it was very simple yet very cute.

Then Adrianna decided to copy mom exercising with her exercise ball. Is that what I look like when I am doing push ups?

Last but not least is my youngest. I got this cute skirt on sale for only $9 from Silver Apple Boutique. Now I want matchy-matchy ones for my girls, or maybe one in yellow for the spring.

That was my recap of Instagram this week. Go check out other fun recaps at Tawny's Tid Bits.

Summers "Maxi"mum Best Trend

I love the maxi skirt trend so much right now, I can't get enough of them. Especially with winter around the corner I want to stock up. I love long skirts for "Forgot to shave my legs days," or days that are too cold. With the trend growing I feel like some places are SO overpriced! I just can't spend $50 on a skirt, that is outrageous! Luckily I know someone with better prices. My friend owns Silver Apple Boutique. She went to China last year to do some research and opened earlier this year. She has cute dresses, skirts, necklaces and shirts. The best part is that she has them for so much cheaper than anywhere else.
Me wearing my cute coral maxi skirt from Silver Apple Boutique

When we went to California the new high-low skirts were everywhere. I came back wanting one, especially for beach and swim wear. Silver Apple Boutique has tons of cute colors and they are perfect for fall. The black ones are great because they can go with so much. Plus you can dress them up with a nice pair of heels, or dress them down for an easy day with flip flops.

I asked what her most popular item was and she said her chevron prints, hands down. Plus I love all the mint and coral colors. That is why I love this maxi dress, it's the best of both worlds! I could wear it with my mint green cardigan I wore in my above picture.

She often gets asked, "How do you match with all these fun bright skirts?"  Easy, not matching is very in. You can throw together so many different colors together and they work great. Here is a great article on color blocking. It has a color wheel to help you see how so many different things go together. The article clearly states clashing is OK and very popular!

These plain colored maxi's are great for lots of patterned or colored tops. I'm a cardigan girl myself, so this fall I will be rocking this with a bright lace yellow cardigan, or maybe even red and orange, who knows?

Another popular thing that I love is the Aztec/tribal prints. When I saw she had this one I texted her to save me one because I knew they would go fast! Isn't it cute?

So jump on the maxi skirt band wagon, and stock up. Silver Apple Boutique not only has the best prices, but is constantly getting new things in. Follow Silver Apple Boutique's facebook page for updates, products and giveaways.

Silver Apple Boutique is also sponsoring a giveaway for a free maxi, skirt, woot woot! Make sure to enter using the rafflecopter below. Giveaway closes 8/21//13 at 12:00 AM.

Vacation Anticipation Week 3 Wrap up & Giveaway Winner

Last week was a lot fun week. After 3 weeks on continuing our eating right and working out daily hopefully you will find yourself in need of some new clothes. If you started reading my vacation anticipation series late, just hang in there, the reward of some shopping will come due soon.
We learned some great styling tips here. We had some love for some maxi skirts. I loved shopping for a new swimsuit from Hapari's amazing selection and customer service.
Yesterday had been a long, busy day of cleaning out the fridge and pantry, the kids having friends over and all the other day to day mom duties. Then my daughter had preschool graduation. I didn't have any time to get ready or dressed up. So I took the advice Bootz Inc. gave us. Simple basic shirt and jeans with some accessories. I threw on a big blue necklace and little blue earrings. Not the cutest picture, but you should have seen me minutes before while scrambling to clean up dinner, yikes!

I also want to announce the winner of the $10 Wal-Mart gift card. The winner is...

Katherine Ann DiBello

Congratulations! Please respond to my email within 48 hours or I will pick a new winner.

Week 3- Maxi Love

I LOVE the maxi's that are so popular right now. I am trying to stock up while I can. Just like Bootz Inc, said they are so easy to dress up or down. One of my favorites is this ombre purple one I got from Sexy Modest Boutique. I wear it with white tops, black tops and even a mint cardigan. I've worn it on "I didn't shave my legs days," "laundry days,"  or even to nice business luncheons. I may need to buy another in case my first one gets ruined ;)

I am so short I have a hard time with maxi dresses. Maxi skirts on the other hand are easy, I can just fold over the top to get the right length. I could hem them but I'm to lazy for that. Right now maxi skirts are everywhere! Although the more cute ones in my size always go fast, so I recommend just splurging if you come across one you love that fits.

They are so comfortable as well. I love lounging in one or it makes sitting through a boring meeting that much more comfy. So keep your eyes open or go on a hunt for the perfect maxi for you!

Week 3- What to Pack

Going on a trip and planning what to pack can prove tougher than anticipated.
With the more strict flying regulations you don't want too much stuff. At the same time you want enough of what you need. When my family did our hotel hopping I had to have just the right amount of clothes vs washing amounts. Here are some idea's for the right balance of what to pack.

Start out by picking all the same tones or colors. For instance bring only brown colors and tones. That way you only need brown shoes and a brown belt. If you want to wear black shoes than pick only outfits that go with those shoes. This way you only need one pair of shoes and limited jewelry, it should all go together.
Think basics. The only skirt I took moving around was a plain simple black skirt. That way I could mix and match my tops.

The idea is to plan ahead. Where are you going and what are you doing? Budget some new outfits into your vacation budget. That way you can bring what you will feel confident in, look good in and is easier to take along. Especially if you have planned a vacation for a long time, don't throw together random things to wear. I hate those morning wear I struggle to find something that fits, matches or looks presentable. Don't put yourself through that when you should be enjoying your getaway.

Week 3- Guest Post from Bootz, Inc.

One blog I stumbled across is Bootz, Inc.  who is also based out of Utah. Before I got so busy with mom things I use to love to read a current fashion magazine and see the fun current trends Now I just follow fashion blog's Like Bootz Inc. She wrote a fabulous guest post on quick summer tips to show you can also master your style.
Summer Fashion Tips for the Woman on the Go.

Hello there my name is Beatriz I write for Bootz, Inc.
Today I have some great
tips for the lovely ladies
who lives are always on the go by either,
work, kids, and ones who have both.
Sometimes it's really hard to come up with quick get
ready ideas while we are caught up in our daily lives.
So I am here to help follow my quick tips and tricks and you won't go wrong.

Fashion Tip #1: Accessories go a long way.
When you're in the middle of a snooze button and getting ready we can
all be guilty of not really caring about our fashion for the day.
Here is the tip.... BASICS.
Basic tees, basic jeans, or even basic work pants just add a fun accessory to match.
If you decide to basic it up for your wardrobe add a small accessories to make it fit together.
You can try a scarf, jewelry, or even a hat.
You can always mix and match and have something daily to wear.

Fashion Tip #2: Shoes must be comfy.
One rule I have is comfortable is what brings out the confidence in every woman.
Shoes must be comfortable and let you get the job done.
There are many cute styles for the summer but the ones I have chosen are
super amazing and you can snaz up your outfit.

Fashion Tip #3: Summer must have MAXI
One thing that has grown over the year is the rage over maxi's.
Maxi dresses and skirts are probably the most
stylish and most comfortable thing to wear this summer.
It is a good investment to make because you can wear this to the office, to a playdate
or even on vacation.

How Celebs Wear Summer Trends:

Will you try this tips out this summer?!
