Wacky Wednesday

I kept debating whether or not I should share this with everyone. I decided why not? It is wacky Wednesday, so why not have a laugh at my expense?
I am a huge Survivor Fan. Ever since I watched the last episode of the first season I have been addicted. I love watching it and talking to my family members about it, it has really brought us all together. For years now I have said I will audition, but never have been in a position to do it. Now I finally feel ready. I made my first audition tape and finally submitted it. It's really simple and raw. I didn't want to dress crazy or act crazy, just show me and why I would be good at survivor.

As a mom I am use to no sleep, little food, and crazy people. Not to mention living in hotel rooms with 3 kids for 2 months! If that doesn't earn some Survivor credit I don't know what does!
Go ahead like, comment and share my video with all your friends. Wish me luck on Facebook, Twitter or on my you tube video. Thanks everyone.

Wacky Wednesday 12/11/13

It's been a little while since I have shared a wacky moment with my followers. For those of you that aren't familiar with Wacky Wednesday, here is how it works. Write your own blog post and link it up below. Don't link up just any post though. Make sure you write up a post about your funny wacky moment, something funny your kid has said, or pretty much anything that will make us laugh our way through hump day.  Don't forget to add my button or link back here. Then hop around other's blog's and see what fun wacky moments they have to share. We all need a little laugh to break up the monotony every now and then.
Have you ever checked your phone and found a few pictures like this? And by a few I mean like a hundred, of course!

If you have kids I am sure you have plenty of pictures of your kids foreheads.  When they get a little older you will start to find more video's, like this one:

Doesn't your husband mop the floor with your bum? No? Huh, that's weird?!?!

Wacky Wednesday 9/18/13

I have taken a little break with my Wacky Wednesday series, so let me go over how it works again.  Write your own blog post and link it up below. Don't link up just any post though, otherwise you'll look like the sad kid stuck in the corner of the bumper cars turning in circles. Write about a funny think your kids have said, or share a picture of something strange they have done.  Don't forget to add my button or link back here. Then hop around other's blog's and see what fun wacky moments they have to share. We all need a little laugh to break up the monotony every now and then.
A few weeks ago we went to 7 Peaks fun center in Lehi, Utah. Although my girls used their tickets for matching princess rings, Kadan chose a whoopie cushion. One thing my kids love when at 7 peaks is Dippin Dots. Although I hate paying that much for ice cream. So we go to Smiths and buy the same thing only a different brand for a $1 a pop. All the kids can get one for the same price as 1 at 7 peaks. Although a brand new whoopie cushion, a 7 year old boy and a grocery store makes to be for one epic family adventure.
My favorite part was when we were checking out. Kadan snuck on the ground under me while I was checking out the ice cream. Then he let the whoopie cushion go. The teller looked up at me while I simply replied, "Excuse me."

A"maze" ing post

I wrote this guest post for Mommy & Me Creations way back in March. I loved it so much I thought it would be fun to share for today's Wacky Wednesday.

I know I can't be the only one out there with hyper active children. I have had several discussions with other moms on how they have some kids that can just play happily by themselves and how other kids need constant entertainment. I needed something to do that would get both those children to get along together. So I sent my 7 year son to get all his Lego's and my 4 year old daughter to get the marbles out of marble works.
I love things that keep them quiet and cooperative while challenging them at the same time. This was perfect for just that. I gave my 2 oldest kids a Lego sheet and told them to make a maze. Although they ended up making one together, and I was very happy to see how well they cooperated. I ended up making the other one with my 2 year old "helper." We then would periodically switch to test each others out.

This was one of my kids's maze creation

My 2 year old trying out my maze
This was fun because with trial and error we could do it so many different fun ways. They got to learn spacial awareness, tactics, communication with the others and so much more! I love that you could make this as intricate or small as you wanted. All my kids enjoyed both parts of making and doing on this as well!
Here is a little video clip of my son doing the mazes.

Have you ever seen "The Christmas Story?" It is my favorite Christmas movie. There are several gems in that movie one being when the mom asks the son, "How do little piggies eat?" If you have seen the movie you know what I am talking about. Here's a clip I found on you tube for a reminder.

I am not one to discourage playing with your food.  Just last night my daughter was pretending her hot dog was a spaceship. Counting down, take off, landing, the whole bit. My husband and I just sat back, laughed, and of course snapped a few pics.

Wacky Wednesday 4/24

It's Wednesday again, half way thru this week. What crazy things do you have to share to remind us of the fun things in life? Write a blog post about it and link it up here.

This week my son decided to play his soccer game with a diaper for a hat! No seriously, the whole game he ran around like this. He even almost scored once too!

This one happened while I was out and daddy was in charge. My 2 year old decided to put on some of mommy's mascara. Doesn't she look pretty? When my husband sent me this picture I thought it was a sharpie, glad it was only mascara.

This picture is how I like to exercise. Adrianna climbs up on my leg as I go up and down. I know I'm not the only one that does this with their kids. Although I'm probably one of the few that says, "My left leg is a 1/2 inch smaller than my right, so use this one."

Wacky Wednesday 4/17/13

Today I'm just sharing my child for Wacky Wednesday. My 2 year old has her own quirky unique personality that almost always leaves me laughing!
She loves to randomly sing and dance and do weird things like this:
Singing and dancing.

Wearing just 1 mitten for no reason.

Umm, those aren't stickers sweetheart!

Playing dress-up with mom's stuff.

She picks out her own clothes most of the time. Sometimes she is so cute, others it's 2 pajama tops and mis match pants. I love her silly spirit.

Have a fun wacky moment you want to share to help us get through the rest of the week? Blog about it and link it up here. Or leave me a comment below, I love hearing what wacky things your kids do as well.

Wacky Wednesday 4/10

It's that time again. Time to share your wacky moment with others. Have your kids said something that made you chuckle? Or a moment you decided to fly by the seat of your pants? I would LOVE to hear it. Write a blog post about your wacky moment and link up here.

Today I want to share some of my favorite kid's sayings. Some I had to look up from my journal in the past year. Ultimatley my top favorites:
Conversation between my 7 year old son and 4 year old Daughter:
Daughter: "Let's play house."
Son: "Ok."
D: "I'm Barbie and the pink shoes."
S: "OK, I'm Venom then."
Later he changed it to Ben 10, quite the game of house, I assure you.

Yesenia asked me one morning, "Mom, can I have some grapes in a sock?"
I simply asked, "A clean sock or a dirty one?"
After thinking about it she obvousley asked for a clean one. I thought why not? To this day my kids like to use our miss match socks to eat grapes out of them.
This one wasn't my kid but has stuck with me. During church while I was teaching the 4 year olds about how we are thankful for our hands I had a little girl raise her hand. "Yes" I ask. She randomley responds, "My Grandpas has fish in his freezer." Ok then.
This reminds me of when my husband was helping with the 4 year olds at church. My son was one of the kids in the class. My husband was going to go around the room and ask each kid the same question, starting with my son. He asks, "Why do we celebrate Easter?" My son quickly shouts, "Beacuse Jesus was resurrected, YES, Next level!" I thnk he may play a little too many video games.

Wacky Wednesday 4/3

Pasta is suppose to be cooked till al dente right? How do you know when that is? Simple, you see if when thrown it sticks to the wall. if you throw it to the wall and it sticks then it is al dente. At least that's what my father taught me, and what I am now teaching my kids. Check out our video on making sure dinner was ready.

It's hump day and we all need a little wacky moment to boost us to Friday. Write up about your wacky and crazy fun reminder and link up your blog post. Then hop around and read about others wacky Wednesdays. Just don't forget to link back to my blog.

Wacky Wednesday 3/27

I'm sure we all get in a wacky mood every now and then. If you have kids then sometimes your days can be filled with these fun times. I love the things kids say and do. Sometimes even we adults are fortunate to let our guard down and join in on the fun. I think it's important to not force ourselves and our kids to live inside an image of how we "should" act. Embrace these fun moments and share them is what I say. Feel free to link up your blog every Wednesday with me and write about your wacky fun times with your loved ones!

Today I want to share 2 wacky moments. The first one was a year ago, but a good example of just being our wacky selfs. My sweet husband and I got to have a weekend get away just the 2 of us. We stayed at The Anniversary Inn in Salt Lake City, ate at The Roof and goofed off around town. While at The Gateway I decided to run thru the freezing cold fountain in the middle of February. Why not?!

We had a lot of fun acting like kids with out any with us. Which just made us miss them that much more of course!
Next is something that happens randomly at our house, we break out in song and dance. I decided to go with  a clip just from last week. The kids wanted to watch Wreck it Ralph with Dad for friday movie night. We saw it in the theaters when he was out of town and they were counting down till they could show it to him. So last Friday as it was ending Adrianna starting dancing and the madness began. Since it was past bedtime, and it had been a long week I wanted to yell, "Put the pillows away, get in your pajama's, stop yelling, go brush your teeth and get straight in bed," and so on. Instead I decided to sit there and record one of those wacky memorable moments.
